Hi all! Loving the game so far, just thoughts I had frequently or felt strongly enough to write down. I’ll probably follow up with another slew after a couple play throughs!

Honorable Mention: UI, which I know is gonna be all over this feedback page, but specifically, PLEASE more tooltips and informative reports!! i want to know what EVERY specific source of every resource is everywhere please!!

  1. Notifications or camera-follow for unit damage. So many times I’ll just suddenly realize a unit has been hurt and I had no idea! It doesn’t help that the UI and unit banners make it pretty hard to tell that the unit is injured just on first glance.

Kinda related but not really, I had units die from a flood that I didn’t get notifications for, I only knew because I happened to be looking at them at the time. I wouldn’t have known necessarily why they died if I hadn’t witnessed it.

  1. Buildings needing repair should be put at the top of the list of projects. I spent like a full 10 seconds low-key hunting through building options to find the building needing repairs in some cases. Just prioritizing buildings needing repair to the top makes things easier!

Also, just a preference, but I found it frustrating that every time you select the “purchase” menu in a city, the second you either purchase something, open an option and come back, or something similar, it returns you to the “production” menu. I get that it might help people avoid the mistake of buying something they didn’t mean to, but when i wanted to buy 3-4 buildings it was just a nuisance to re-enter the menu every single time!

  1. I’m sure there’s lots of UI complaints, but I was having a hard time with unit banners. Seeing health without clicking on a unit is incredibly difficult, and I feel like I’m missing information I should’ve been able to see. Also, the lack of clarity when you mouse over a unit is difficult. When trying to differentiate between a city-states units and Frederick’s units, I had to hover over, wait for the information to appear, and then sift through the all tiny, all white, all same size same font text to find the units owner. I had to do this for about 10 units, and when they shuffled around, I’d have to do it again!

Colorful text would make a huge difference here, if not more distinct unit banners!

  1. Final tiny thing, When a unit earns multiple rewards from a pillage or dispersement, it takes sooooooooooooooo looooooooong for the text to cycle to the next reward. It can be faster! Even just a slider option in the controls settings to speed or slow down cycling text would be nice.

Thanks for listening! Loving this game!!
