Keeping track of units would be a welcome improvement. My Scout was killed by an Independent Power. I didn’t even know it was being attacked and I didn’t get a notification when the Scout died. Found it out by accident a few turns later.

I second this. Not knowing when units get attacked because they're off screen has gotten my units killed quite a few times. Even a notification, although a quick camera zoom to them would be good too, would be very helpful!
