No it is not. Not since the latest patch. Knife dmg scaling was nerfed against players. As well as lunge distance and lunge angle.

For reference this was the dmg numbers PRE-nerf....if you got your melee stat to 100 you were hitting for 129.8dmg for a single heavy knife hit which could 2-shot purple shields with 1 heavy and 1 light melee knife hit.

Tarkov has one tap head shots. And it can literally happen all the time. That is automatically one reason why Marathon ISNT as hard as people make it out to be. Theres so many things Marathon does better than the other extraction shooters I can say its more casual friendly but still keeps the difficulty at its core.
