It turned into let's ignore the contract because I have enough upgrades on the skill tree let's go hunt and kill runners, we'll use the public events to bait players. Then exfil after we wipe the entire lobby.

Also if anyone wants to know my main complaints about the Alpha (i put like 16 hours into it on a friends account):
the outside enviroments were a bit bland, not boring just colourless compared to the interioirs.
Enemy appearence needs to be more visually distinct, at some points it was really hard to tell if i was about to start shooting a heavy or a normal guy.
Extracting is TOO fast the whole point is that heart pounding 10-30 seconds of “anything can go wrong” and thats missing.

Loot felt worthless. Fighting the AI robots felt way too samey. Hero classes are unbalanced. Only being able to do one task at a time even though you have multiple objectives per map is a weird design choice. No VOIP kills any chance of emergent gameplay against other squads. Not being able to swap out weapon mods is frustrating. Starting stash space is too small, backpacks are too hard to find.

Yeah i paid for the base game package back when it was all bundled into one thing where the main game and the (voted on) multiplayer component came in one package. After testing it early i was like "okay progress is slow but hopefully it picks up" because in the early days all they had was a section of arc corp that you couldnt do anything on except stand around and only ship combat was available. Then they came out with the space station port olisar where you could call your ship and get into it and quantum travel to two other stations like an empty security station and some communication beacons to repair it

It’s not much of an investment to start hunting. Especially if you make your own loads. Take a $2000 investment with a maybe $100 tag at most, and you can clear a lot of meat.
