Hi all, brand new to Proxmox. Trying to get this OpenWrt VM installed and I'm hitting this error towards the end of the setup process. Any ideas on the best way to resolve this?

I just looked at the script, what are your interfaces called on your Pve Node?

nah its the right thing. its just that interface name is hileriously long^^ Never seen that before in 15 years 😅

but that is why it fails, can you try and rename it to something „sane“

[SOLVED] - network interface name too long

I set a vlan tag as 100 for one of the network interfaces of my VM. Then I started it and ran into a bug.
Error: argument "enp86s0f0np0.100" is wrong: "name" not a valid ifname
can't add vlan tag 100 to interface enp86s0f0np0 - command '/sbin/ip link add link enp86s0f0np0 name enp86s0f0np0.100...

give this a try, when the interface name is more normal the script should run fine
