I had a blast playing CO for 29 hours. The whole concept of time manipulation, travel between worlds, dark souls like MMO is amazing. My personal favourite part of this test were boss fights, especially Titania the ninetales. (I loved the combat more than anything)

There are many aspects which need serious improvement for CO to be the WoW killer (please, I have hope in you guys)

These are specific minor bugs which I want to mention. The images are in chronological order ig.

  1. The buttons (if you want to interact with another player) were not interactable. None of them.
    I had to manually search for the player with their name to invite them into my party.

The graphics optimization was poor. (At medium graphics and 100 render scale)

  1. The screen would get dark when move the camera to a certain angle (when you are in the middle of a lifeskill like mining or gathering)

  2. In the open world, in the area where its raining, the screen loses all contrast and it looks really ugly.

  3. After you cut big mature trees (or any big tree), the lower edge of the fallen trees have geometrical shapes. It looks bad.

  4. The brightness distribution on the screen at certain areas and at certain angles is very uneven (both at night and day). Its like getting seizures.

  5. The quality of water near the waterfalls is also bad.

  6. There was an area just outside the 4th chrono gate, where there was a pool of water without any boundaries

  7. There were instances where the drop loot was not collectible even when the loot was right in front of you. (there was a particular drop in the Howling pit expedition after the 1st boss and before the 2nd boss which gave me the issue. There were others in the open world as well)

  8. The player avatar itself and the animation was very buggy when they get caught by a MIMIC monster (it reminded me of Harry potter - The Monster Book of Monsters)

  1. NPCs were stuck underground

  2. Inside the time trial, just before the 4th trial, where the merchant would show up, this area had absurd brightness and very low contrast as compared to the rest of the trial area.

  3. During butchering a beast, you sometimes get hidden inside the dead body. I did not like that part.

  4. During the main quest "The final movement". There were 2 Velia standing, inside the Citadel.

  5. When I applied the status effect TAUNT to any enemy and it died before the effect was over, the TAUNT icon would still show up over its dead non-existent body.

  6. In the quest "A familiar voice", where you had to speak with Giotto. The interact action was not working.

  7. The AI of our summoned monsters was very confused and their movement was not good in uneven terrain. Against a powerful boss, they would instantly die and would last for about 10 seconds max. They were very weak as compared to their original forms. Make them strong. You should add the option to upgrade our summons through specific tokens. That would be very cool

  8. In some cases, we could see and interact with materials which were hidden/behind un-interactable objects.

  9. Why did tomb raider Arlo get his own cool secret cave and not other bounty targets? I want similar cool locations for others as well.

  10. At some angles (in the open world), the animals were kind of floating since the ground was not rendered properly.

  11. After you die and get to choose your respawn location, the map gets stuck if you try to zoom/move through it.

  12. Please add colours to custom markers of the map. plsplspls

I have really high hopes form the CO team. You guys did a great job. I wish you lots of good luck and best wishes to you. Take as much time as you need and make history.
May Chrono Odyssey become the next big MMORPG. ❤️ ❤️

  1. I didnt have this issue, I was on controller and just used the d-pad. I could invite, duel, etc.
  2. The lighting issues were a huge problem.
