I love the Roguelike feel of the game and just how refreshing it feels to bring a classic into a completely new style, I think adding a class system would better synergise with the current upgrades in the game, adding more customizability to the game (similar to balatro decks ig) and also providing players with more content for completionist (maybe through earning some currency at end of every run and using currency to purchase classes?). There could be benefits and drawbacks for each of them so they are more "balanced":
Examples:
Trap Master:
Benefits:
- Start with “A Mechanic” and “Trap Fixer” Tile
- The first trap you reveal each stage is disabled
Drawbacks: - Traps are 2x more common
Medic:
Benefits:
- Start with “Adrenaline Shot”
- Whenever you heal, reveal up to 3 safe tiles
Drawbacks: - All single use cards you obtain turn into an “Adrenaline Shot”.
Ofc these are not the best examples that can be came up with but as a general overview I really think they could add more elements of skill and “roguelikeness” to the game :))
