So im just starting to get into higher mmr 2s/3s and up until now if i missed my trap in between intim it wasnt a huge deal but at 2k mmr its absolutely losing us games and i can tell my healer is getting a little frustrated. He will throw in little jabs like yea we prolly wont hit 2.1 missing traps, etc. I am BM btw not survival. Does anyone have any tips on how they improved their trap game? I have tried slowing before it , etc it seems like my main issue is their teammates will protect the trap, or ill trap into grounding, reverse magic. etc. i know i can take binding shot into DH to prevent reverse but i still seem to mess that up too. Is anyone able to give a masterclass on traps or just any small tips would be helpful. Im about to just run endless skirms between Q's to practice trapping.

What healer are you playing with?
holy priest, and hpal, and sometimes R sham lol. i know i can CC off their fears/etc but its mostly the times where im forced to naked trap that i have the issues, plus ill get cc'ed a lot of times right after i use my stun that way when i get outta cc the healer is getttin outta my stun same time so i get nervous and just chuck my trap and it ends up right next to him
Yeah. I think your partners can help with. For example if a team is stacking on a healer in my 2s team (i play with a disc priest), he will go for a fear. If it is really critical that I hit a trap without pet stun or my buddy's cc I will do a Door of Shadows into trap. People will move out of the way of it or get hit, either way you will get a chance at a trap.
I also use this:
/cast [nomod, @cursor] freezing trap
/cast [mod:shift,@magic lotus] freezing trap
and many times I will disengage, and drop a trap at my feet
see i had one trap normal and one trap @magic lotus but my R Sham told me it was trolling to run over to people and drop one at my feet on top of them lol. Also i use cursor for all my other traps except freezing do you find ur still able to aim it fairly well using cursor?
Yeah. Idk maybe someone will weigh in and agree with that sentiment, but I see streamers trap like that regularly
I am used to the mouseover. I use it for all abilities like this in the game. I don't think I'd like the other way, but some people don't use them and seem to do just fine.
the hitbox of the trap is really large too. If they are stacking, but are slightly off center you can throw it to the side favoring the healer and land a trap
