#MM or BM?

Both are pretty close in Raid, with BM being better for progress because of no movement restrictions, easier rotation and more consistent dps and MM having slightly higher average dps (if played correctly) with much higher dps ceiling (but also lower dps floor)
In M+, MM is better in most situations because of better dmg profile (higher priority dps, more burst) and slightly better tankiness. Overall dps shouldn't be too much different and BM has the advantage in bigger pulls, while MM excels in smaller ones, since MM is target capped on it's main dps source (Trick Shots)
That being said: both specs are completely viable in both types of content, so you can just play what you prefer, unless you want to push the highest keys (which I doubt if you just picked up hunter now)
nah just wanna dabble around with some friends in m+
Then just pick what appeals more to you/seems more fun
Or just swap from key to key. That's what I personally do
thats the problem.. having a ton uf fun with both
My main focus is on BM for Raid, so my MM gear isn't the best, but it's still fine in dungeons.
Nothing wrong with playing both specs
But if you want to play what's objectively better, then go for MM in dungeons.
Can vary between Sentinel (more AoE dps) and Dark Ranger (more ST/Priority Target dps) even
alrigh tyvm
and what would u recommend to a gamer dad with not mcuh time to game who just wants to have a good time?
You already said that you are having fun, so seems like you already have a good time, no matter what spec 🙂
Neither spec is really complicated.
- BM has the ease of unlimited mobility but on AoE I find it slightly more busy than MM (haste-heavy spec, multidotting, keeping up beast cleave).
- Sentinel MM is pretty straight forward at a base level
- Dark Ranger MM is a bit harder to optimize, since there are some (imo) weird interactions going on, especially on ST, but you don't need to play Dark Ranger if you want to play MM
Well dark ranger has similar stat prios as bm, since it also likes crit/haste, so it's a n option to play mm dr and bm. Crit mastery is good for mm sent but it's not like bm/mm dr don't like mastery either. So if specific gear is a problem then go for loads of crit and an healthy bit of haste and mastery. The amount?
