I'm underperforming as a m+ pugger at ilvl 623 and I'm not sure if I'm doing something egregiously wrong or we're just that sensitive to how much the tank pulls / how they pull. I've done a sub 1.2m overall dps in a +9 SV which is pathetic (ret pally and assa rogue were around 1.55m), though in places with more fixed pulls like Mists or NW I'll do around 1.6m even on a 10 key, which is close enough to the other DPS that I don't feel like I'm griefing for not going Surv. I have suboptimal hero trinkets (candle and ritual knife) which I really don't want to waste gilded crests on, but they sim better than skardyn's / sacbrood even at maxed hero track, so it can't be that, or the sim is wrong. Other than that, my gear is fine, as I'm following azor's guide like it's the hunter's bible (because it is). Also, I'm happy with the survivability side of things.
I'm so close to KSH that I don't want to give up now, but getting gapped by the other DPS is really disheartening, especially with how long I have to sit in the queue. I hope it's a skill issue rather than a tanking style issue, because as a pugger at least the former can be fixed.
