hey there, looking for a log analysis on a new range player/bm hunter class

hey there guys, so i went on an alt heroic run with a bm alt i made and aside from the expected overall parse being low the ilvl parse was also low, however comparing to the sim and other logs of a similar/same timeframe the casts and percentiles for damage are being near on equally met; analyzer also doesn't have anything bad to say to warrant that kind of log. i'm running no enchants/embelish/flask/pot bc alt run + expac + gear's expected to be replaced v quick however surely that again isn't enough to cause such a sheer percentile of dps difference, this is the first time i've encountered this issue with an alt and would love some insight to learn what i'm either doing wrong/what's going on if possible? i feel the magmorax one as linked works best as it's pretty patchwork to point out any outliers due to lack of mechanics; thank you once again,

Well first of all ilvl parse is bad : As an exemple your Heroic Magmorax at yourself being 499 your ilvl bracket you only compte against 72 other BM hunter in the world, not a very pool to look at.

You have no Monk and Warrior in the group = -10% dps

You're playing Ominous trinket and in that group you prolly don't have any friend buff

You're saying enchant/embelish and all that stuff doesn't make that much a difference, well unfortunetly it does. A socket alone is Massive

just the helm enchant alone

for me it's around 3% of my damage

Also not having the helm enchant or the safe rocket just make both your rings proc less

cause your only current fire source of damage is grieftorch

your 2nd Call of the wild window you barely manage to get 10 stack of wild instinct so less time to do big damage with pet

dropped frenzy once

so will also affect your dps vs everyone who keep it up

first of all ty for the analysis! so based on reading that above would i be correct to assume it's not a rotational issue here and that given gear, enchants and buffs i shouldn't be having a problem?

I mean i didn't see any glaring problem on the rotation itself

outside the 2 thing i highlighted with dropping frenzy and having shorter max stack of wild instinct in your CotW window

But Grouping and Kill Time are generally what gonna get mixed in too

like I said you're missing 10% damage from just not having 2 class in that Magmorax

while most top parse on heroic get this boss down 30-45 sec faster than your kill too

mean there's less time in their fight where you didn't have lust

which will passively boost numbers

okay that's good to hear, i know to always keep up 3 so it's just me being a plonker if i dropped it trying to last second it; how would i go about the higher stacks or is that just an rng factor if i am pressing kc on cd @2 and then within it's place on the priority list on icy veins below the 45s+ cd's UNLESS during that it takes a priority to use any charges on cd which isn't shown on the icy veins page

yeah i just didn't expect it to be that much of a factor to the logs themselves going from orange to green suddenly on a class when it hasn't been an issue with others, just a lil onset panick i that regard

I mean outside of the CD stuff or Barbed Shot at 2 stack

you press KC

never wait on 2

also you don't need to time barbed shot anymore

this talent also make Frenzy last 10 sec

with enough haste you have barbed shot faster than the Frenzy buff will drop

just smash Barbed

unless you have a KC

oh yeah i just meant following the prio list on veins where the bigger cds are above kc/bshot unless it's ab to hit 2 stacks kc or the barbed situation as they listed, i run savage again based on the suggested talents so bshot is falling just below 1 charge kc on prio list and is getting used then so it's not like i'm avoiding pressing it

okay if that's the case maybe it's bc my haste was under 30 baseline still bc of the sheer ilvl jumps in gear and taking that over secondaries rn

i mena the barbed shot at one only say if you don't have 3 stack

so if 3 stack ignore it and it drop to 8

that's usually covered during the opener though right withe the double barb into cd's and then taking it off 2 charges to hit 3 frenzy then into dc > cotw

and from there it's just don't drop frenzy

okay cool so just to recap the issue here is basically gear and potentially haste for the drop of frenzy following the prio list and also for not getting the max count on wild instincts

mostly then the bigger parse are left to group, kill time you getting pi or not

yeah BM is mostly a press something on the GCD

if you know what the better one are
