Switching to MM from BM

Hey all, I've been playing as a Beast Mastery (BM) Hunter for the entirety of Dragonflight, mainly because it's been outperforming Marksmanship (MM) in DPS according to logs and other online resources. In raids, I'm consistently at or near the top of the DPS meters, usually ranking first or in the top 1-3. Additionally, in Mythic+ dungeons with an AOE spec, I often achieve the highest DPS. I'm hesitant to lose this position, but I have a strong preference for Marksmanship due to its no-pet gameplay and class fantasy. Would switching from a BM Hunter with an item level (ilvl) of 484 to MM result in a significant DPS loss? Has anyone else made this transition?

lack of experience in MM is gonna be what hurts you, not the spec itself

played optimally, BM better

but can still do almost all content as MM, just need the skill

even if i get the rotation as good as my Bm rotation itll still slack in damage though wont it?
