So my guild is progging on M Sark right now, and I'm assigned to solely boss damage. I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to which spec, MM or BM, would provide me the most output? I'm solid at both specs and can typically play MM with movement in fights. I'm just wondering with all the movement in the fight if MM is worth it for solely boss damage over BM?

MM should do more assuming RNG doesn't cuck you in the ass
The phases and timings all favor mm, mm does more p1 damage from careful aim. P2 and P3 you have trueshot and coming up with 10 stacks. And mm more execute damage in p3
In theory MM but if you check WCLOGS for kills and boss damage the majority of the first page is BM (not sure if this is cooked by augment damage) but for both PI and Non PI logs the majority is BM so for progging it might be wise to go BM single target and not rely on RNG and you will also have an easier time living which seems to be the main issue on this fight

but again not sure how cooked the aug damage is
Personally would go BM for survival and reliable damage over multiple kills. One pull you can hit like a wet noodle on MM and one pull you will blast
i would say its more of a comfort thing. in theory BM would be better because of superior movement and a bit more survivability, but mm beats bm in damage (st, no aug). if you can play both at a similar level BM might be the way to go just to stay alive a bit better, but MM for me is more comfortable and it does high boss damage
But the damage between the two specs is close enough to justify playing either one. with standard procs mm is better in theory, but with bad proc luck it could go either way
