The story rolls more content out periodically, well get to the wukong boss soon. As far as lingyu and others, we gained 4 characters since global and lost 3 since global and one since CN balance. We're missing yuan tao, zhuge guan zhuge meng and Zhang lingyu. Lingyu will definitely be showing up later this season, however the others were unsure if they'll be showing up.

My personal crackpot theory is that; lingyu is being delayed solely for hype just as he was for the last two tests, zhuge meng and zhuge guan are being delayed for story purposes, and yuan Tao has been removed for balance.

That mother fudger had speed, range, variety and unpredictability. If zhuge qing uses a fireball on me, I know for a fact that in 6 seconds he will have another fireball. This tells me to keep my distance if I haven't placed him into a combo in 6 seconds, however, if yuan tao throws a giant bowling ball at me, I don't know what he's going to get 6 seconds from now. You can't even predict what skills he's going to use on you because you don't know and he does. Which means you have to predict safely that all of his skills at all times are his most dangerous skills meaning you have to play extra defensive, because if you don't you'll be caught off guard.

I can rant all day about how broken I think that guy is but I guess it is all my opinion at the end of the day

in cutscene everything goes to make scene more cinemetic. however in gameplay, performance is the priority. visual clarity etc. especially in a multiplayer game. not to mentions its also a mobile game.

its not like gameplay graphics look like shi- they still look pretty good, i like the game's art style. art style goes long way

He is RNG to an extent, but if you take him to the practice range for give or take 2 hours and just learn each combinations combos of skills the only thing random is the buffs you put on the skills. He still has the added benefit of having 1. More skills 2. Way faster cooldowns 3. Skill enhancing buffs. For me, the only way I can think of that they could make him more fair is if he doesn't even know which skill he's about to use, like the skill button always looks the same and when you press it it uses one of the four random skills.

A lot of the slight balance changes that have been made so far are solid. Characters I had so many issues with before like baobao are fully tolerable now. With the exception of maybe lu jin

the greatest change imo is the soundtrack to the basketball map. Actual peak. It has this song that can randomly play during one of the rounds that sounds like it's from Bocchi The Rock. And if you ever watch that anime, you know that soundtrack is gas.

The new characters, like ling jiu are very welcome additions, feeling very powerful but only in certain situations just like the other characters

And monetization seems really good right now, I don't know how the prices will change in the future, so I won't comment on them now. But the current battle pass system and the skin currencies I think totally work with the daily play structure of the game, and I think a daily play structure on a game where you can just run a few matches and do a story quest and then hop off work really well to its advantage. You don't typically see fighting games get these nice modern era F2P systems but they do work pretty well with the layout
