'It's not a bird, and it's certainly not a plane.'

Superworms are mealworms/darkling beetles native to Central and South America.

Meant to be played as a solo offensive threat, and its abilities reflect that, though it can serve moderately useful on defence as well.

In-Game Appearance:
Super Beetle looks just like a regular adult/fully grown Superworm, but with a blue cape and a golden soccer ball logo on it, with a red letter 'S'. It also has a blue mask.

Reverser/Speedster/Striker

Passive: Harsh Conditioning
Moves slightly faster when a ball is in possession. This boost is reduced the higher tier ball it is holding.

Offball: Speed Force
Cooldown: 30
Super Beetle charges forward, acting as a stronger headbutt, and gains a speed/jump boost for 5s. Momentum can be transferred to a ball while in this speedy state, but the ability will automatically end.

The speedy state is shown by yellow lightling trailing behind it as it moves.

Onball: Ultra-Strength
Cooldown: 35
Super Beetle gains a surge of strength, becoming immune to headbutts, lunging forward a small distance (though the higher tier ball, the further it goes), as well as pushing the ball faster and shooting much further for about 7s. Letting go of the ball will again keep your momentum but the buff will end immediately.

The strength state is shown with blue lightning surrounding itself as well the ball it is pushing + sound cue.

Cosmetics:
Eyemask: A hat that any beetle can put on. Looks exactly like Super Beetle's mask.

Modern: Changes the Blue to White, Yellow to Cyan, and Red to Black. Turns Super Beetle himself a silver color. A custom Cyan trail behind both wings is shown when headbutting, gliding, etc.

Adaptation: Color scheme becomes vibrant, like a comic book.

Professor Evil: Changes Super Beetle's color scheme to purple, red, and black, as well as giving it purple horns and mad scientist goggles. Its eyes become wide and manic.

the abilities are meant to reference the 'super' part of the beetle, even though the actual real life counterpart is pretty mundane. kinda like cyborg where its just a normal beetle with enhanced abilities.

also i think it would be funny if the flutter and glide animations looked like the 'flying superhero pose' (the one with one arm out yk)

Kinda feels like just better dung? I mean it effectively has 2 dashes except each also has a really good secondary

Ig a lot of dung tech might not work with its dashes but still
