What I find really annoying is when I build build like five Sams but somebody just atomic bombs where my defense posts can't reach A alternative to this could be something like a submarine that can shoot down missiles. Mid-air has very low health and can easily be taken down by a warship or a specialty ship

although I agree with you about the cheap way to bypass sams i think bombing the ocean is crucial if for example someone sends a bunch if warships over your way

If this mechanic didn't exit there would be essentially no way to stop a rich island base. It would make spamming SAMs and ports way too powerful. Even now you can only do it with a hydrogen bomb which costs 5 mil
