Right now the game is purely about "whoever get to 80% first wins".
This is causing a massive divide in the community between two groups of players - those who want to play the "intended" way, and actually focus on getting land efficiently and quickly, and those who want to play the opposite of that where they just want to sit there afk spamming ports all game.
I believe we can satisfy both of these groups of players by adding an economic victory in to the game. The win condition is triggered if you have some arbitrary number of gold, say 50m (just a random number I chose), as well as having at least 0.5% of the land (to prevent people surviving with a single pixel somewhere that they can't be found). In doing this, people who want to sit on an island doing nothing but watching pixels float in the ocean all game can do so except now it becomes an actual strategy instead of a giant nuisance for everyone else. It will also force people to look more carefully at the leaderboard and heavily focus players who are trying to go for an economic victory.
