I bought my copy of spore in 2016, is there any hope of getting it assigned to an EA account? I don't have the second receipt, steam flips me an error when i paste the transaction id into the receipt link.

Check if you have a CD key listed
Right click game in steam library > manage > CD keys
If you do, you can follow the same instructions as for GOG to redeem it
