After a few years, I decided to play this game again with other players' creatures. However, when I tried to log in, I encountered this issue (translate from rus: "There was an internal application error. Please try again.").
I wouldn't have asked for help if I hadn't tried some of different solutions: re-installed the game, re-installed EA app (yep, it's already EA version, not Steam or GOG), changed password (now it's 11 symbols length, includes only numbers and letters), looked for users with the same nickname (they don't exist (but why can't I find myself?...)), deleted the login.prop file, the whole folder in AppData and etc.
I searched for the same error on the Internet and found that I'm not alone with this problem, and so far no one has found a way to fix it.... So I decide to ask here - maybe someone knows what to do

Additional info: I have logged into the game before; I installed the game with EA app; I can still log in at https: //www.spore.com/ with used in game email and password; I have stable internet connection; I see how game trying to find and connect with account and then it give me a message of "This copy of the game will be linked to your account on spore.com" - after that, I see this error.

Maybe... After I changed the email address used in my EA account, I encountered this issue, but I don't think it's the actual cause

Unfortunately, it didn't help.... I tried this already (I've already looked at a lot of possible solutions here, including discussions of similar problems)

So, if anyone has any ideas - I'll be glad to try them

Have you registered a screen name through the in-game form?

If yes, what is your screen name?

If you are not sure, go to EA.com and sign in at the top. Once signed in, click the account icon at the top, and Account Management. Scroll down and see if it lists a Spore screen name

You're talking about "Game personas", right? If so, then... Yes, there's nothing. What does that mean, then?

#

Actually, I did have it at one point... I was registered in Spore as LiFiXiS for a while, but I can't find that player anymore so... Maybe it's a fake memories...

But I still have some troubles because I can't registered any names at all

I cannot find any record of that name ever being used on spore

If nothing is listed under Game Personas, then this EA account has not been used with Spore

What does it show when you log in to Spore.com?

Wait, when I opened sporepedia, the site asked me to log in, but there was only an option to log out

reef flume
# cyan nebula I see this right after log in on Spore.com

This indicates a screen name has never been registered on this EA account

If you are sure you previously have used spore online features, it was with a different EA account entirely

Otherwise you will need to register a new screen name through the in-game form

Yea, I've already read this before. The problem is that I've previously received a game from EA with a Steam purchase confirmation and I've installed the game using the EA app. However, when I try to register a name using the EA email and password, I encounter this error, even though the game is already on my account. (there is screenshot with a game in EA app)

Maybe I'm not understanding something?

Maybe I should check the game's link to my account in a different way? But how?

That’s probably not something we can help with further here (unless someone else encountered this and has a solution)
Seems to be some unusual account issue, as everything looks to be correct unless i’m misreading something in the screenshot

Can EA support try to help with this? Is there even a point in contacting them?
