I tried launching the game in Spanish and this happened, what did I do wrong?

Can you show us the local command you decided to launch the game in because this happens when it is not correctly typed out in the launch arguements.

For example, adding -l:pt-pt to the end of the launch arguements causes the game to launch in portuguese.

if you add -l:es-es to the end instead of what you originally typed it would probably work.

Unless that is what you did and it just doesn't have the locale in the games files.
