MHGU is currently one of the fan favorites. MHG3 would be amazing with added extreme style from frontier z. Would be very good to add styles and hunter arts from mhgu and add extreme style and extreme monsters from MHFZ. Also add hunter arts from MH Explore. And add the Magnet Spike and Tonfas. And add that one rocket axe from MH Explore. Bring back lucent nargacuga and the snake boss from MH4U for some really cool weapons. And the silver wind nargacuga for really cool looking transmog armor. Another armor I like is the gore mogala armor. And the MHFZ snaping nargacuga is also cool. And the ex gore mogala waist armor. And white fatalis is also cool. Great thunder weapons. And alatreon. If you bring back deviljho, please make it so savage deviljho weapons are stronger than normal deviljho weapons

I feel the biggest reason newer monster hunter games fail is because they become too far from what we are used to

MHGU offers new, fun, better controls. Traditional tracking and searching for monsters. Needing to learn their pattern where they go, when energy is high, where they go when they are tired

Harder, longer battles. With cool hunter styles. Mounting, paralyzing, countering

Brave style, extreme style, adept style, aerial style

I don't think the world style controls are good. But that's just my opinion

Here's a monster I wanted to revisit.

Zenaserisu is still my favorite monster in Frontier, both in design and fight.
To start today's description I'm going to cite a comment on my first Zena video from Athos, who said:

"I like how much of a subversion of expectation Zena is. It's appearance makes you initially perceive it as an edgelord type ...

Just a random run I did 10 minutes ago
I don't what to record next and I must admit I'm pretty bored of Frontier Z those time ( Not actually bored of the game itself, I'm more bored cuz of the fact I can't record anything I want for now)

MH4G スピードラン | Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Speedrun
HOW TO SPEED RUN DALAMADUR:

Heroic was given on this run, you cant receive damage on Dalamadur that easy on this part 0:59 ~ while this part 7:16 was very crucial so you need to recover your health. You can improve the time if you have decent talisman with dragon attack. Dragon Attack...

I don't wanna start discourse and I love MHFZ and the ideas of MH Explore, but this feels more like a wishlist than reasons as to why add extreme style 😭
Extreme style was designed in such a way that any other style was immediately outclassed but I see where u goin w this

#

Midori, the Long Sword SSR or smth adventurer, has something similar to a extreme style long sword running thing..?

#

But it's more close to the MHGU adept style than anything else. Those styles are somewhat playable in MHO but behind those gacha characters. In fact, some of these gacha characters straight up have MH movesets like Luka has a wirebug maneuver thing, or Pyro has that Rage tackle from Rise if I remember correctly

#

I just wish there was some sort of way to put these on our main adventurer for free, like some challenge or quest to unlock it.

This is a truly fantastic idea. Monster Hunter Outlanders is still a relative newcomer to the franchise; it needs the right tools to compete with the genre's giants like MHWorld, MHWild, MHFZZ, or MHGU. To achieve this, they simply need to implement the features of those games and adapt them to the Monster Hunter Outlanders style. It might seem overly ambitious, but in reality, it's not. There's room for everyone to find their place. The most important thing is to please the player. I've been a fan of the franchise for years—six years already—and nothing would be more wonderful than a Monster Hunter game with a wide network connecting it to other Monster Hunter titles.

have you...... played Frontier?

#

the gameplay near the end of frontier's run was so drastically different from it's start and from mainline monster hunter because frontier had nothing to do but jump the shark more with each update

#

this suggestion feels more like "this looks cool in the youtube videos i watch so i want it in Outlanders" than something that would genuinely benefit the Outlanders gameplay loop. I don't think starting at the endpoint frontier reached would be healthy for a new game

#

though I'll be honest I doubt the Outlanders team is just going to add an entirely new combat style that fully reworks every weapon because someone thought it looks cool

#

Unfortunately this is just generally consistent with his suggestions across a lot of media, part of the reason the Dragalia Lost private server suggestion channel got closed is because he was amongst some of the more unrealistic and disconnected suggestions that could really be chalked up to "this game does it so it would be cool here"

#

well its not like you can lock a suggestions forum behind "requires a general sense of feature cohesion and awareness of scope"

#

kind of amusing to find out they've made these kinds of spaces before and not only is the same issue persisting but a specific user too 😭 though I'll be honest unless they made a statement about it I doubt "unreasonable suggestions" would be a primary reaso nto close down a forum like this. it's not particularly difficult to filter these things

somber jolt
#

The real primary reason was redundancy of the forum space after realization that this was the genre of suggestion that would be given on average laughpikachu

damn

#

I gotta put in overtime to make genuine constructive suggestions

#

actually screw that if they want my wisdom they gotta pay me i aint doin their work for free LOL i understand why the prior one closed down now

#

sucks tho because it feels like they're really trying to listen to their playerbase and I'd hate to see that soured for them

That being said, there is a lot of cool things with the gameplay styles proposed by boldhearts suggestion, its just that its going to definitely feel like an outlier in a game that is already feeling a bit of an outlier, plus the allotted dev time to incorporate even a single gameplay style would likely still be hefty

#

It just doesnt really mesh well here

I think the most reasonable way to phrase this suggestion is:

#

"if you're already reusing animations/pulling from MHGU and Rise for the playable recruit hunters' kits, could you consider borrowing from Frontier as well?"

#

rise borrowed the concepts of a lot of MHGU attacks and retooled them to be switch skills, I could see something similar happening with parts of the frontier kits

#

as someone who's played Frontier, there's a lot of really interesting stuff in the weapon styles pre-extreme that I'd actually love to see return, especially the hammer kit!

#

I think thats the most reasonable implentation of it considering what the game is going for with its kits, i think the ship has sailed for too long at this point anyways for a massive overhaul to add extreme style to a bunch of stuff (or even a lot of additional mechanics for that matter) that our best bets is seeing it incorporated and referenced in future kits
