the problem from the subcontractor's perspective is probably that splitting the general up or adding even more channels (like for specific teams) makes it way harder to stay on top of everything. less channels means more in one place... but that's not suitable for this server for a number of reasons

this idea has been mentioned multiple times and we hear you, it’s in the works, we want this to happen — however we are not in capacity atm to have that many channels open to the public on day one and moderate them all. rather than lead to general chat to be less busy so we can encourage more “normal” conversations, we fear (as it often does) that creating more channels will only multiply the places where trolls can break rules and make our vigilance job more difficult

that sounds like a well intentioned idea but I feel misses the point. in order to support a large server, you fundamentally have to accept that you're not going to ever be able to moderate everything in all the channels that are available. instead, the aim should be to make sure that there's always a proper place for things to go and that those places actually get used, so that traffic can get diverted naturally. once you've established that flow, you can survive off of keeping the peace and user reports, with mods occasionally being "on patrol" rather than needing to be omnipresent for any effective control.

I feel like some of Shanahan strengths are also his biggest weaknesses. What Shanahan has done and accomplished will put him in elite status. But I see his biggest faults when he plays us and I think that’s because Andy Reid is a genius coach

Shanahan tends to make decisions against us in particular that don’t make any sense. I’ve watched countless hours of broken down film from our previous SB and Shanahans inability to adjust is mind blowing
