Hello there!
History:
Here’s a quick visual summary of a somewhat crazy custom map project that started over 30 years ago, when I first read Jules Verne’s “The Mysterious Island.” I was immediately fascinated by the story… and especially by the island’s map. 🏝️
In 1998, I discovered Heroes II and dreamed of creating a map with the editor. Unfortunately, the XL size was too limited for what I had in mind.
Years passed… and in 2020, thanks to Heroes III – Horn of the Abyss, which allows “Giant” sized maps, I finally dove in!
The creation took 5 long years. I published version 1.0 in March of this year, and everything took off: I discovered an amazing, supportive community that helped me greatly improve the map with their feedback. Some even volunteered as testers! A huge thanks to them! ❤️
The adventure didn’t stop there: a French streamer tried it out first, and soon after, others followed…
