Regarding the Pinnacle Energy System
First, we'd like to acknowledge that, whether it's in-game or on social media platforms, the Pinnacle Energy system has been the source of much discussion and feedback. We understand everyone's concerns, and we know just how much this part of the game impacts every Lightbearer's experience.
Let's start by explaining the original concept behind the Pinnacle Energy system. Our hope is that Destiny: Rising can be a game for a wide variety of players, with the Pinnacle Energy system's design being able to bridge the gameplay experience gap between players of differing time investments. Players can use it to earn multiplied, high-value rewards in a short period of time, and they can even let it stack and spend several days' worth of Pinnacle Energy all at once. This design is more convenient for mobile players, who are accustomed to playing in short bursts. Additionally, once Pinnacle Energy is exhausted, players can continue farming for basic rewards.
The Pinnacle Energy system was always a hot topic during our Alpha and Beta tests. Thanks to your feedback, we adjusted the basic reward rates and range several times. However, we've come to realize that it still leaves many Lightbearers feeling disheartened. So many of our loyal players want to invest more time and keep having fun, yet the Pinnacle Energy system has become a barrier to that. Thus, we know that our current system is just a temporary solution, and it's far from perfect.
Given that Pinnacle Energy is one of the cornerstones of the game's mechanics, any changes must be carefully considered and tested. Because of that, we can't make any quick, fundamental changes in the short term, but rest assured, this is something the dev team has been continuously thinking about and discussing in depth, searching for the best solution.
So why are we choosing to talk about it now? That's because we think we've found a solution that's worth a try. We believe this new solution will let players enjoy all Destiny: Rising has to offer with greater freedom and fewer restrictions, and provide a more enjoyable looter-shooter experience, while still maintaining balance between players of different time investment levels. We're aiming to introduce this new plan to all of our Lightbearers early next year as part of our first major update. In the lead-up to that, we'll be sharing more information as well as gathering more feedback from our community. Stay tuned!
Live Ops Plans & Looking Forward
Another hot topic in our social media communities has been the game's long-term plans. We're very excited to take this opportunity to share Destiny: Rising's roadmap with you all!
Destiny: Rising will be receiving two major version updates annually. We're now nearing our first major update in the beginning of next year, which will see the introduction of an all-new destination and the continuation of the main story, as well as a new series of Gauntlet: Onslaught stages (complete with a new contest, of course!) and lots of new stages and activities to experience. In addition to the Pinnacle Energy solution we discussed above, our dev team has been hard at work improving, adding to, and even overhauling our seasons, endgame content, and core systems like weapons and artifacts. We're confident that this major update will provide our Lightbearers with both tons of new content as well as a comprehensive, brand-new experience.
But that's not all! Our seasonal updates will also bring with them important content drops. In the upcoming Season 2 (November-December), Shifting Gates is getting a large update, and Gauntlet: Blitz is receiving three new stages along with all-new weapons to chase. Longtime Destiny fans will also be happy to know that the familiar Dawning event will be coming, and that means all-new event content! Warm up this winter with Pack carnivals, snowball fights, and more—as well as plenty of loot!
One addition we're particularly excited to share is a brand-new activity coming next January for Season 3: a tower defense mode. This is a creative activity we've been pouring a lot of effort into, and we're sure it will add a whole new way to enjoy Destiny: Rising. Season 3 will also feature a mysterious update that's sure to surprise long-time Destiny fans (trust us, new players will like it, too!), but please allow us to keep it under wraps for just a little while longer. Be sure to follow our social media channels so you don't miss the big reveal.
We've also been cooking up various activity updates to keep things fresh between seasons. The current Festival of the Lost event is just one of the many things our team has been working on. In the near future, we'll also be launching a fun PvP event and more exciting content. Plus, as we mentioned earlier, expansions of and prep for future endgame activities are underway. Keep an eye out for more info!
To give everyone a clear view of what's in the pipeline, we'll also be releasing monthly event calendars. These calendars will be shared on our social media at the start of each month and will contain a preview of everything you all can look forward to, ensuring you can plan accordingly.
We'd like to thank each and every Lightbearer for your patience and support. Our journey has only just begun, and with you at our side, this adventure is bound to be stellar.

I would like to recommend 2 ideas for future updates
- Do a full realistic battle mode, without being able to fly without full-fire skills.
- Do a mode something like a big BR-style map. The main idea is Similar Like Shifting Gates... maybe with more players and only the Map with mechanics
I wouldn't count it out. There are people I know that have passed on it because it doesn't have a native PC client.

They need to test a new pinnacle system very carefully, with no limits we'd run into burnout issues and players with all the time in the world dominating leaderboards and time limited reward events.

The best we can hope for is an energy bank system similar to other games, where you can still accumulate energy beyond the max, just at a slower rate (say, 60 per day instead of 120)

It really needs to be a native port. This really isn’t working out as a mobile game. Can barely see the enemies, walking around is laggy, gun play is loose and sloppy
Not dumb at all, if they stopped focusing on issues and player feedback THEN we'd be on another d2, bungie ignored player feedback for so long they are beyond the point of return, make the players happy with what they have THEN add more.

That makes sense but something that they pointed out is that mobile gamers usually just play in short bursts I don't have a console so my mane form of gaming is on my phone I would just like to have more energy so I could play longer and still get the rewards I'm looking for (side note I know I'm just one person and not everyone is like me this is just my opinion)

True, and i was also dissapointed to not see it mentioned, adding some pvp exclusive rewards would be a good start. Apart from that pvp has different issues for a game like this. Seperating emulator players from mobile players is a must if you want to introduce a meaningful pvp mode

The problem with energy is that's there's materials that you can't grind at all once you run out of energy, not that you get less of them

I've been having a lot of issues playing the game on MuMu as of late. Getting forced into 3rd person after Wolf's Dash for example, which also messes with the controls till I ADS to fix it. Lotta random input delay. Crashing while typing in chat. Just a bunch of random stuff really.
I'm not sure what MuMu is tbh but I've not had any of these kinds of issues since I beat the main story line

There aren’t enough people playing to separate players. They just did a server merge to create healthy populations.
if they dont address the fundamental issue of endgame basically being 'wait 2 weeks and/or a month for enough resources to barely invest into 1 character' they can forget about retention...probably the first gacha/mobile game where endgame character progression is this choked/delayed for no reason

The problem I have with mobile is that you can’t see anything because characters are too small

I'm very close to having a fully maxed Helhest, just need to perfect my artifacts. After that, I am HARD stuck waiting for more resources on a monthly lockout to max out relics on others. That, is a pain.

Having weekly ways of earning clusters is very much needed, but not so much that everyone can max a character in 2 weeks. Then you run into issues of burnout and players dropping with nothing to do

It’s a double edged sword. Because most people run to YouTubers for their info, and the YouTubers are great at kicking a dead horse, so you have to play to the standards of their bs to be able to feed a community. It’s not about the little guys

The season is barely long enough to get the banner character much less level it. I only got Helhest yesterday with three draws left, which means I have zero Helhest orbs. You need 17 orbs(?) to level a banner character? 60 draws times 17 orbs(?) times 180 leaves per draw … not enough time.
Yeah but then you need to matchmake, if people only play in short bursts there just wont be enough players ever, unless your game is heavily mainstream i.e. clash royale
Have you ever considered the massive library of games that exist outside of the Destiny universe? I find myself filling my time outside of those games with No Man’s Sky

What do you mean by orbs here? If you mean copy crystals then you need 6, and the whole point of barely getting enough to get 1 per banner is precisely the point on the gatcha system

You can buy orbs?
You can buy pulls, meaning you can buy yourself a t6 character basically. Its more or less the only advantage whales have over other players, that and the materials in the black market

most i've gotten from running f2p is T2 Gwynn, in terms of featured characters that is. T6 Attal if you consider the perma.

I’ve been playing since release day and I haven’t run across how to buy draws aside from lumina leaves. The UI doesn’t really explain it, so if they’re trying to make money off it, I don’t think it’s working out for them.

Yea, i usually wait for meta shifting characters like hellhest but i have a buddy who got her to t6. And i run everything with him so i dont need to also pull her
I primarily play solo, dont really got any friends that stayed invested for the long term, so i dont have that to consider.

Correct, and that is how gatcha works. It works out to about $900 to max a character with 'ONLY pity pulls'
With luck on your side, it'll usually mean 5-600 to get all 6 copies

Ok, thank you for the clarification. That explains why the game is fundamentally broken then. There is no good way to earn pink boats or character crystals once the banner character is gone. For example there is nowhere to get Gwynn crystals. So if you’re a completer / finisher, this game isn’t for you.
I would expect an eventual re-run for Gwynn and others in the future, but I can't say that its guaranteed.
I don’t know anyone who can spend $900 every three weeks, and D2 players are accustomed to playing all content with maxed out characters. Nothing else in the game happens until the power grind is over. So this is a big cultural shift that you have unfinished characters just hanging around (at least for me.)

Yea score multiplier in calamity means you have to be really fast, but this is the incentive to max and run meta (the current banner)
Also.... having mythic character be 500 power higher inherently is another issue when it comes to maxing and meta

Mythics sounded nice at first but with how common they are they should've just been legendaries
And then we would've at least had more weapon variety with the 35 or so legendaries already in the game
I also hope we can upgrade perks to a mythic tier because you just aren't allowed to use anything not mythic if you want light

You haven't noticed the other issues that they addressed ? Shifting gates is getting a huge update and with the other things they're about to add it should be enough for now

Nobody is playing Shifting Gates because it is unfortunately a terrible experience and mode 🙁

My reasoning,
Perks - should be upgradable without pinnacle drops, you've grinded enough to get the perks you want, the upgrades should cost the same as plainly upgrading the weapon.
Weapons - maybe, the reason above is for no. But the difference in power between legendary and pinnacle is worth a resource dump.
Characters - 500 power jump, more than an exotic node. Should cost something you have to earn with pinnie
3 seasons for a main story update is a pretty lengthy wait.

Mythics are literally worthless rn, people sit at 100+ mythic engrams without ever even grinding for them
If anything, getting a specific legendary roll is harder
Yea mythics are the same for me, i have all the ones i want and now purely getting the resources i need to upgrade them, which would be the same as it is for me now.
But you're ignoring the gatcha aspect of the game, everything upgradable needs a price, and with noticable power jumps between legendary and mythic, be it perks or weapons in general. They need a price. Its about what can be farmed non pinnie and what needs pinnacle, based on power difference

not even Ning but to be one-shot out of nowhere is ridiculous and kill all the fun in any mode.
I do, you want to upgrade legendary weapons and perks to mythic, to match power so that you can run the rolls you want rather than just what gets you the most power.
But you also want them upgrades to be non pinnacle (basically free) which would be against the gatcha aspect of the game as a whole.
Lets be clear i dont like the gatcha aspect, but its here and it aint going anywhere. So finding which upgrades are pinnacle or not is a compromise
I really want to enjoy the shifting gates/gambit mode but it just doesn't feel nice to play at the moment
Running umeko with the legendary sniper (1 shot without debuffs) is just funny to counter all the nings
But mythic weapons are already free to grind
So why would upgrading something to the level of mythics cost anything??

It’s currently better than any game produced by a AAA company, and it earns more money than any game produced by a AAA company. They are perfectly capable of putting in the effort, even though it’s designed for a 6 inch screen.
This isn’t some simpleton game like Candy Crush. I’m not even sure this game belongs on mobile devices to begin with.

(i dont know if i what im saying really goes with the topic of the thread, my fault if it isnt i dont normally give feedback or game ideas to stuff like this) Honestly for pinnacle coins (and stuff using pinnacle coins) i feel like there should be a 3rd difficulty harder than heroic that requires you to have at-least level 10-15 acclaim because once you hit the point of going past the light power and level for heroic (being in acclaim basically) it feels way to easy for heroics to be played and done. if there was a new difficulty i feel the req power you need is around 57-60k power (because by the time your around 10-15 acclaim you have at-least once character who around that power range) and it should give a higher chance for exotics and or exoitc gun mods. I will say i enjoy the pinnacle coins and the reserve pinnacle coins because it tells you that once you run out it tells you did the maximum work for the day. Although i do wish there was a way for your regular pinnacle energy could be upgraded to have more space (not maxing out at 360) but this is all just from thought and from the enjoyment of the game ive had since launch (yes this is extremely long im sorry about that 😅)

Do we even have destinations? They don’t feel like it. I get that it’s arranged in a map style user interface, but I don’t really get the feeling of a memorable place that I identify with as a player.
Pinnacle energy feels like it was just copy pasted from every Gatcha game even when it's not needed and doesn't fit the game or it's playerbase. The Destiny brand has always been grindy. You have an amazing opportunity to literally be THE Destiny game. Best of luck to the team

Please make some immediate adjustments to pinnacle energy to ‘save the game’ as well as deliver more meaningful change over the coming months.

Just delete Pinnacle energy and be done with it. Just give the best loot as we grind for it. Respect the player’s time and don’t have resource caps.
And 3 weeks later lose another huge chunk of players because 'nothing to do i have every character maxed out already'
This is why the pinnacle system can be good IF implemented correctly
As it stands I’m not hitting pinnacle restrictions and I would prefer to have the option of leveling everyone. Instead of capping resources, just give more classes to grind out and weapons to level.

I am hitting pinnacle restrictions, and i think its healthy, it stops me wanting to spend hours grinding until 4am and burning out
Need to stop with all the new characters and give us content that keeps us busy for a while
1 new character a month scares me, how long can they keep it up? And power creep will be an issue.
I think 1 new per season is fine and rerunning a banner in the 2nd part of the season lets players go for characters they missed/ now enjoy but didnt max
I’m not finding it visually interesting enough to grind and use more than 80 pinnacle power since it’s designed for a 6” screen and 30 fps.
The only thing motivating me to use pinnacle power is that the Activity Points for Wolf Den is tied directly to spending pinnacle power, and Activity Points are artificially capped to around 20 per person per week.
Otherwise the game does not make it clear to me as to why someone would want to spend more pinnacle points. They seem like an artificial cap just to have a currency for the sake of a currency.
In playing on emulator, 144fps and 4k (which is a native option) game looks good but obviously not amazing.
Pinnacle energy is used for high end materials to level characters and weapons to power required for end game ranked pve.
I currently use all my energy on chaos, for artifact upgrade materials, as i'm hunting for rank 1 umeko in my server

Said a lot of nothing regarding pinnacle energy. Basically explaining why they implemented it and to wait till next year for an update. I hope they don't follow the footsteps of another game I play.
to me pinacle is not the big problem .... cluster and photon is the big problems
reduce the monthly limit to weekly limits on clusters or make another way to farm a product to get the cluster . i preffer spend 100 or 200 hundred hours farming an ctivity to get it.
We're limited in events like Halloween and previous one where we had that 'wheel of fortune' what to do with surplus of keys and ordinary keys in such events? Bring in special shop for it. Once we hit final prize everything besides it is no need to complete challenges

if they reverse pinnacle energy, then they would implement smtg like "x entries with normal rewards per week, after that, only basic rewards". otherwise, the whole gacha aspect would be gone (and then you can play d2)
I have 10k hours in D2, tbh just want a new Destiny experience so i would be down for anything that lets players invest more time, but again i get the gatcha aspect
Why not add an item that can only be purchased with money to reset all of your characters stats and abilities while receiving a refund for it all? $2.99 for each reset token? Sounds valid, logical, and can help redirect peoples focus on the pinnacle energy. One of the issues why people always cry over the lack of pinnacle energy is because of the constant upgrading people do for each character. If you force them to use other characters, you have to give them the ability to also grow those characters. The pinnacle energy only stunts growth.

You can also be friendly, and he means that you reset your characters, get all your stuff back, and then completely level up another character or bring it up to the level of the other character. Easy to understand 😉

Short Answer: NO. if you play 2x per week it's easy to get all characters to 70k, Literally link characters and voila they copy artifacts from the main character.
easy? thats a straight lie, sorry. For all chars 70k you have to invest a lot of time and farm, first part..get all chars...
If you played Diablo Immortal (From NetEase) they do that kind of thing there, where you can change your character to another and moves everything to the new one, legendary gems keeps being the same ofc... i mean, is not something super crazy.
The thing with upgrading characters to a MAX is due to the lack of Incandescence Clusters, there's only 1 source for it, and you get only 5-7 every 2 weeks... while they ask you for 17 total to max out a character
i have not farmed at all and mine are all in 70K+ range. i guess you should make a video about that.

for 70k you need cluster, photons and many other stuff. At these materials the most people stuck. I have two chars at 71k+ and I play a lot but more? need cluster, photons and co....
I can't even fully upgrade the exotic guns on both chars because the blue (forget the name) material....ultra rare...

I've been using all my pinnacle for weeks, just to farm legendary missions fusion cores and whatnot, buying the pandoras (blue pinnacles), so every monday i would have like 350+ pinnacle... so that included... after all that farming, i think i only had ONE photon. It's a joke.

we need better ways to get clusters and photons that is the biggest roadblock to getting powered up for these end game leaderboards I do like the artifact mats this new season has where we can focus on one stat to be transferred over instead of replacing all 4

I try not to but i love climbing leaderboards its my thing I was able to get number 1 in the world in a game called disney speedstrom it is a good feeling getting top spots in leaderboards.

the random reroll dice should have been farmable and for f2p, while the specific reroll dice should have been for the whales
They could have put the randoms on monthly lockout, and made the specific ones really rare from content
