is there a big guide for artifacts anywhere? because im very confused how an exotic artifact with 2 recommended is somehow worse than a mythic with only 1

You’d have to reroll the exotic to get higher stat count while your mythic is beating it easily with a high count

Number 1 cause is usually the attribute perk level (the diamonds) but it could also be when it affects your total attribute score to reach different tiers.
There's Perk Level Requirements :
0 / 1 / 300 / 588 / 1053 / 1440 / ...
And there's Gilding Level Requirements :
0 / 100 / 200 / ... / 1040 / 1140 / 1240 / 1340 / 1440 / ...

So I did some tests & calculations for the attribute perk levels (I can't post images because I'm a lurker >.>) :
Attribute Tier | Requirement | Power Increase
1 20 10
2 40 30
3 60 40
4 80 60
5 110 90
6 140 120
7 160 180
8 180 210
9 200 250
10 220 260
This means if you had 2 artifacts share the same stats instead of being different stats, depending on values it would be
+120~260 Power vs +60~180 Power ( 2 x +30~90)
So a difference of -60 to +200 power but on average (80+ value) it would be +60 to +140 power.
