#Tan-2's Checklist for Character Priority Part 1: Draws

Well folks, Welcome to Destiny: Rising! Of course, most of you may not be new to this rodeo if you played during the closed alpha and beta. But, for those newcomers who are questionate about who may be the best characters to choose from in terms of optimal play, I'm here to lend some guidance into each character, who to invest to depending on whom you receive first from Draws, and why each are important in their own respective areas. So, let's get into it!

  • Do your first mythic pull, if you pull Tan-2 or Jolder then it's a Major W. Ning Fei isn't bad, just his major infestment is into his abilities as he is extremely strong as T2+ his Super Spam once he's T4)

  • If you pull Tan-2 first before your Daily Login choice of an Exotic, then get Borealis for Singularity: Order farming. (This helps with being able to grind Artifacts and Upgrade Materials for your characters and makes it EXCEPTIONALLY easier)

  • If you pull Jolder first before your Daily Login Choice of an Exotic, then get Huckleberry for All other content farming outside of Singularity: Order. (Main reason for this is once you get her to T1, she basically has unlimited ammo & never needs to reload with a duration of 30 SECONDS, and you get Shoot to Loot with Jolder)

  • Tan-2 with Borealis is insanely good for general play as it utilizes all 3 elements, but you need to invest fully into support for Well + Weapon Damage via Artifacts, which tbh isn't needed except for the Day-1 Contest Raid. In which, aim to get Izanagi's Burden for Boss DPS! (We do not know the secret mechanics the devs will add into it, but for the DPS check on Issakis you will 100% need as much Damage as you can get, in which [T1 Jolder + Huckleberry, T2-T4 Tan-2 + Izanagi] will be the best for general play!)

Do you have any recommendation for 1st and 2nd slot artifact for tan?

If you have both, it's recommended to invest into Tan-2 first. The exotic reward from daily login will be tomorrow, in which you should grab Borealis for Singularity: Order Farming, as this is where you'll get most of your character elemental upgrade materials and artifacts from.

As for awakening, try to get Jolder to T1 first so you may use her for general play (Strikes, Gauntlet Ops: Blitz, Public Events), as her kit is one of the best for survive-ability, and having unlimited ammo for your guns makes melting everything a breeze. Tan's awakenings don't start getting crazy till T3+.

XD ning fei is the strongest character right now, in PvP by a long shot and in PvE he is on par with the best

look at the data: ning fei dominates the whole PvP Leaderboard. Top 50 consists of almost only ning fei players

Also the speedruns on raids: in every team with ning fei he is #1 or #2 damage (I only looked at the top 5 teams, but those are the most meaningful ones)

this guide is clearly objective! if you look at the data you see that ning fei is by no means worse than tan2 or jolder

Everything you said is perfectly fine, but also I was only pointing out PvE, not PvP, which makes the post you made nothing more than hostile towards a defense that was sadly not relevant towards the topic at hand. I’m not saying you’re wrong, just stating your opinion in the wrong place is all.
