I'm quite new to the t embed and keep seeing maybe things about the nrf24 and how to connect so I am wondering what the difference between the one without the sd card sniffer and the internal one is. Can anyone help?

No difference... It is just the way you want to use it..
If you are good at soldering and have courage to put it inside the shell.. good
If not, stick with the sd sniffer
