I'm on version 0.5.1 of cryptid now, should be the latest this time. I just bought a second Negative Joker from the shop but it immediately stacked, and when I split one it didn't grant me the slots. Re-merging does remove the slots though, so it's just -4 slots.

I don't think jokers are supposed to be stacked like that in the first place
do you have incantation? If you do then I think it is stacking things it is not supposed to
in that case there is nothing that can really be done about it

Oh I think in order to bulk use certain consumables properly you needed to set incantation to allow anything to stack in consumables
