i probably guess no, but what is a stock ship? and please dont tell me its the standart option of each ship class...

Each class of ship has 3 versions: stock, brethren and blackbeard. Stock hull colors only go on stock ships, and so on and so on. Sails on the other hand can be equipped on any version
