Basically if I fast travel to tortuga in any game, co-op, hosting, joining, solo/offline. It’ll generally freeze the game so hard I have to ctrl + alt + delete and sign out. I cannot access task manager, steam or anything, it loads in the background but the game screen is frozen over the top.
There doesn’t seem to be a specific trigger, just going there via fast travel.

Closest thing I’ve got to a fix it to wait around for a little bit and then slowly walk in. It seems to be less common when I do that, rather than just running.
However I’ve had freezes after leaving vendors. Doesn’t happen at any other camp or area, even those with the higher enemy count.

the same for me 🙂 after plaing on sea, I'm going via fast traveling to Tortuga and this freezes the game

Run game in borderless window, not full-screen. Allows for closing of the app if there's a hang or crash.
Also - reduce settings/DLSS preset/frame gen. Game doesn't seem to like it much.

It’s UE5, it doesn’t like anything much.
Will switch to borderless on next play, don’t have DLSS/Frame Gen on.
It’s such a random bug as it’s stable literally anywhere else. Some of the enemy heavy areas, any other camp, perfectly fine, but you want to find all the traders in one place… pfft back to the desktop for you.
