bought rare schematic for devistating 24 pounder cannons, both stats display A RANK at the time of buying. however as soon as i ascended them to epic, both stat rank changed to B rank? is this a bug? can anyone explain?

It was A rank for rare and is B rank for epic.
Upgrading and ascending are 2 different things.
Some things drop ascension rank when upgrading levels I have noticed.

What they meant is that the actual stat being the same, just that the scale expanded, so now what is A on Rare, is B on Epic, C on Legendary.
At least that's how I understood the games mechanics, though that stat seems to be meaningless overall.
