Make sure you are NOT in the game (and if you are on a dedicated server, make sure to turn it off as well)
THEN right click on the game your Steam Library list, click Properties, under the General tab uncheck Steam Cloud.
THEN go into your folders and do the following:
Go To:
C:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\YOUR GAME NUMBER HERE\RocksDB\0.10.0\Worlds
And right click and copy that world folder (it will be a bunch of letters and numbers) and paste it inside the 2 new folders this horrible update brought us (lol) and paste them in here:
C:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE)\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\YOUR GAME NUMBER HERE\RocksDB_v2\0.10.0\Worlds
THEN go to the next one, and paste it in there:
C:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\YOUR GAME NUMBER HERE\RocksDB_v2_Backups/Worlds
MAKE SURE THEY ARE V2 (VERSION 2)
If there are folders in there that are not the same as the world you are pasting and you dont want that world, just delete it. (alot of players had like new worlds start after this update, so you may be one of them)
Just delete those.
Also you may experience it having the same as the world you are pasting, it is ok, just choose overwrite files (that way you delete/replace possibly corrupted files with good ones).
THEN load the game.
DO NOT restart Steam Cloud for this game (as it will just redownload the cloud save files that you just corrected.)
Thats the reason most are getting warnings about losing stuff or it isn't getting recognized (because they weren't in these 2 new V2 folders.)
Just let it save locally in the files you just fixed.
Now as far as people on dedicated servers, do the same thing.
Then talk to your server.
However if your issue is your server is kicking you after like 5 or 10 minutes, that is a whole other server side issue (I have Bisecthosting) and they gave us a solution (it automatically installed when I restarted our server today) and we have all been playing for about 9 hours now on my dedicated server.
If your dedicated server company is not fixing the game on server side, tell them to get ahold of BisectHosting, or switch to them.
Because it literally took them 2 days to get us back up and running.
But you still have to do the above steps and paste your world into your V2 folders.
And in the V2 folders on your server (for the host)
