So far only experienced when joining my friend's world, and only twice.
First time we were sailing on his ship and he was playing shanties. Then we got into a ship battle, which makes the shanties stop, and I didn't have any music from that point on except shanties. The ship battle and boarding were battle-musicless and thus less intense experiences :(( Toggling shanties on and off repeatedly and trying to skip songs didn't fix it.
The second time I can't recall when it happened, but I just didn't have any music except the camp music when near a bonfire or shanties. No exploration music, no battle music, whether ship battle, boarding or Blackbeard's crew on land, nothing. Toggling shanties on and off repeatedly and trying to skip songs didn't fix it.
