#[SOLVED] Steam Dedicated server will not load world
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
- check this folder taht you have the world you need in here
- check ROcksDB folder, try deleting everything you hvae there (make a backup)
- check serverdescription that the world ID is in there
try launching
There is nothing in that folder, world folder does not show up in v2 just the new world it created. Server file has the new world id not the world we were using g.
If i copy the old world folder into v2 and set the server file it just creates a new world and changes the server file to that new world
Original world folder is also not in v2 backups folder
@steady lion are you still there and able to help out?
tried brining server files over to local client and get this error with all backup versions
Hi, @lapis mica
I see your messages here: #1501330105018876024 message. Looks like you have similar issues related to corrupted saves in RocksDB and automatic world generation as a result.
Can you archive the R5\Saved folder and send it here?
so i may have screwed myself, i saved the full Default_Backup folder but then i uninstalled and reinstalled the dedicated server thinking something there was messed up
ooo its still in recycle bin so zipping it up now
i had the same issue as the other guy with a bunch of servers started up at same time and then had to close them all out
and then OG world would not work
Never thought that the recycle bin would be a savior. At least it never happened to me 😀
Give me an hour or so to investigate your case.
i work in IT i should know better lol thanks appreciate it
Looks like all of your saves from Default_Backups are corrupted except the one from 20260503_192216. I managed to launch the server from it.
- You need to delete everything from R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\Default.
- Then copy the contents from 20260503_192216 to R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\Default\RocksDB.
- Make sure that the WorldIslandId in ServerDescription.json is set to 877437FC40784719AE96183FC7064984
Would you like more detailed instructions, or is this enough?
nope that is enough
does it matter that the serverdescription has a different persistentserverid and invite code then what was originally there?
Nope
