Hi, I logged into the game today, and it says that my previously played progress is to be deleted as it "cannot be migrated to the new game version". I've spent almost 70 hours on it. Is there any way to solve this issue? I'd hate to lose all my progress on it. Help and advise is deeply appreciated!

No, it isnt in the game, it is on your pc in the game folders.
You want to be logged out of the game completely.
I would NOT confirm, I would Ctrl Alt Delete (open task manager) and force close Windrose.
Then find the backup folder and load that into the game world folder
