#MY WORLD WONT OPEN AND WHEN I DO IT FREEZES IN THE LOADING SCREEN

Attempt one. Trying automatic restore one more time (sometimes it works)
In order to recover your saves you need to do the following steps:
1. Disable Steam Cloud saves
a. Go to steam
b. Right click on Windrose App
c. Select Properties
d. Disable Steam Cloud saves in General Tab
2. Go to your AppData folder, where saves are kept.
a. Press Win + R
b. In the appeared window paste this: %localappdata%\R5\Saved\
c. Press Enter
d. Here you would see SaveProfiles folder
e. Just in case make a backup copy of SaveProfiles folder in case something goes wrong (Just Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V the folder so you have a back up copy lying around).
f. Go to Save Profiles folder
g. Go to your Steam folder (folder with random numbers that is unique for everybody)
h. Here you should see three folders: RocksDB, RocksDB_v2, RocksDB_v2_Backups
i. Delete RocksDB_v2 and RocksDB_v2_Backups folders, so you ony have RocksDB left
Try launching the game one more time, clicking confirm on error messages and see if the world and characters are back. If they are not, proceed to next attempt.
Attempt two. Manual restoration of a backup
1.
a. Ensure that you Steam cloud saves are turned off
b. Go to Appdata folder where your saves are kept
i. Press Win + R
ii. In the appeared window paste this: %localappdata%\R5\Saved
c. Go to SaveProfiles folder
d. Go to your Steam folder (folder with random numbers that is unique for everybody)
e. Here you should see three folders: RocksDB, RocksDB_v2, RocksDB_v2_Backups
f. Delete RocksDB_v2 and RocksDB_v2_Backups folders, so you only have RocksDB left
g. Go to RocksDB and delete everything inside of this folder
h. Open another Windows Explorer window
i. Press Win + R
j. Paste this: %localappdata%\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles
k. Here you should see 2 folders one is with random nuber, the second one is the same but with a _Backups suffix
l. Open the backups folder
m. Inside this folder you will see all backups that were created during your previous sessions
n. Backup folders are named after days when they were created
o. Try selecting one (it is recommended to start with not the latest day, but the day before)
p. Open the backupfolder
q. Inside you will see a folder (0.10.0) and AccountDescription.json
r. Copy both the folder and the file to RockDB folder that you have prepared in step g.
s. Launch the game see if this backup worked
t. If it didn';t try restoring a backup from earlier dates (important, the game automatically creates folders RocksDB_v2 and RocksDB_v2_backups on every lunch, so while you look for the latest working backup, you always need to repeat step F, before everything else, otherwise the backup files that yo ucopy would not apply)
