So I was one of the people affected over the weekend w my character data being corrupted and had steam cloud on. Ended up turning off steam cloud to start a new solo run yesterday, and I now want to stick with that save. Do I re-enable cloud save or keep it disabled now?

if everything loads fine for you you can enable steam saves and when it detects a conflict say taht you want to stick with local version of save
