My game keeps crashing when I try to connect to my Nitrado server.

After the update, the game launches normally, but I receive a message saying that the save file is corrupted, with options to either quit or continue. If I choose to quit, the backup syncs to the Steam Cloud, but when I relaunch the game, the same message appears again.

If I choose to continue, the game attempts to connect to my Nitrado server. However, after about 30–40 seconds of loading, it crashes directly from the loading screen to the desktop.

I have already reset the Nitrado server after the update, but the issue persists every time.

Also, I was in the middle of playing when the update was released and got kicked to the loading screen. I’m not sure if that’s relevant, but I thought it might be worth mentioning.

Edit: my friends can access the server and game with no problem and they do not receive corrupt save data

Maybe not a nitrado issue but a personal save issue for you then? There's a few other threads and convos around here today I think that talk about how to fix a corrupted save?

Tried almost every one of them... It is strange that game keeps crashing without any message after trying to connect to Nitrado server. And I dont believe it's Nitrado issue as my other friends can access it with no problem.

Havent been able to play for almost 2 weeks. Uninstall, reinstall, cleaned files, turned off cloud...

here's what I've done to load into your account.

disable your steam cloud saves first, then do as above, that you can enable steam saves again and resolve as local

notthing happened. I load the game, i receive the message about the corrupt file, click cotinue and I see my character lvl 9, but when I try to connect to nitrado server, game just crashes without any message back to desktop. My friends are online and play with no problem

when I try solo, it loads with no problem to my old world I played before buying Nitrado to play with friends

I still receive corrupt file message. After ignoring it I see my character. Yes, trying to connect to my online server crashes the game. And I do not think it is Nitrado problem, as other players are connecting with no problem

it sohuld only occure once, you can now enable steam cloud and resolve using local version

can you try clicking the Force Realy Connection tick before joining Nitrado server and see if it helps?

still nothing. I have used local version after enabling cloud. received corrupt file message again. Ticked Force Relay and game crashed again.

It goes to loading screen, i see trhree dots after word "LOADING", and after 20ish seconds, game just crashes to desktop

let's make sure the error message is not showing up first and then will see what';s up with Nitrado

Disable Steam cloud saves
Load the game
If you see error click confirm
Make sure the cahracters and worlds are tehre
Shut down the game
Enable steam cloud saves
When it detects conflic - select resolve to local
After steam completes cloud sync
Launch the game
You should get into main menu with your characters \ worlds without any errors

@neat cypress I finally did it. I was repeating your steps from above, deleting my files, replacing them, starting again and again. I did it like 20 times and every time same result: crash when I connect to server.
HOWEVER! After doing completely the same thing one last time, it worked...
My game works now, and I lost nothing. I am playing with my friend on the server.
Im happy as I play again, and Im horrified to exit the game, as I do not know if this will happen again and what causes it.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the dedication, effort and help. I will update you once I exit the game and start it again.
