Hello all, As i've been helping everyone with this issue, please follow my below steps. For EA launchers, this also applies except for the last step if it doesn't work.
For EA you can find the cloud caches in their directory in Program files (86x)
- Download https://www.nexusmods.com/windrose/mods/158?tab=files tool
- Launch the tool & check for any saves shown with "no Data" , your character save should show with a lvl and data found
- Copy the directory shown above & paste it into file explorer Example:
C:\Users\YOUR USER\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\76561198194322866\RocksDB\0.10.0\Players - Remove the file you see in the tool with no data , make sure Cloud save is also off in steam - Found in Properties -> General
- Relaunch the game , if you load into the main screen, close again & put cloud save on.
- If your game then launches without loading again follow the following
Close steam , Windows (C:) - > Program files -> Steam -> Userdata -> (Your ID)
Click "3041230" , remove Remotecache.vdf
That removes your cloud data
"3041230" Is the game's ID so only remove that one if you got other games installed , Don't delete any other - Try starting again with cloud data on & see if the corrupted save file found earlier didn't appear back in
C:\Users\YOUR USER\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\76561198194322866\RocksDB\0.10.0\Players
