game stuck on map loading screen

I logged off for a bit came back and now I cant get past the map loading screen - its just stuck on it - I can hear the sea and thats it

Step by step for the instructions

Step 1:
find your save files following the steps in the instructions

Step 2:
copy paste ur save files to another folder so u have a backup

Step 3: go to your game - right click - properties - in the beta section - use the code PublicTest292026

Download the public test

Start game

It will tell you the files are corrupted and offer to delete

Run game and it works great

Pop into singleplayer and run around for 1minute

Pop back out

Then pop back in and make sure it saves

Leave game

Go into folder and open up save profiles

Run game as normal version

While live in menu go into ur files and delete the DB2 files

Exit game

Reopen game

Fixed forever

Same issue. But I play wia GFN/Boosteroid and here isn't access to game files

My husband deleted the RocksDB_v2 (not the one with backups after it) after following all the other steps and this method seems to have worked for him. Let's hope is keeps it fixed for now - THANK YOU! EDIT: It looks like he is still having issues. Now he can't get into the game I am hosting. Same thing - stuck on the loading screen BLAAAHHH where is the hotfix? 😭

second edit: I logged him out, verified files just cause, logged him back in, got to menu, logged into offline game fine, tried logging into hosted game and got in but was not able to move anything that was in his backpack or equipped. Now I am trying to quit to the main menu on my game that has had no issues and it's just loadingggggggg - LMFAO come on with this crap

last one - i quit and logged back in no problems, he quit completely again on his game, was able to log back in. Logged into single mode first then back into thew hosted game and all is working perfectly. His character is still rolled back so now he needs to redo some quests and re upgrade some gear but overall this method WORKED. We tried everything and this is the ONLY thing that worked. So ill say, thanks again ❤️

I’m sorry to hear there’s issues still :/

for hosting issues ive heard an entirely seperate problem

As for the solution - you gotta delete all DB_2 files when u have the game open

To clean sweep it essentially

But once that’s done ur good

Even if db2 backups come back ur good
