ok then do this, and yes it's a binary made by someone else, and you will get a warning.. only cause the way windows works with trusted software.
Don't use it to try and repair, but use it to provide a screenshot of what you have for characters in your save directory
Its just a binary, so you can run it right from your download directory. Not really a mod.

don't sync, go with what you currently have and force that to steam
