Solo game, no mods.
I found one of the "find the 4 braziers to unlock the treasure" above ground in the foothills and, after accessing the treasure chest, when I try to claim the mask inside it, my game suddenly switched to a loading screen out of nowhere.
I waited for awhile (loading times usually don't last more than a minute on my config), I noticed the game would just load in the void, and so I alt-f4 out of it and tried to restart it.
Now I cannot join my game again because, everytime I do so, the game loading reverts back to main menu screen. Trying to start a new world/character just puts me back in the infinite loading screen.

Update: tried to restart my PC, and now the infinite loading screen triggers even before the main menu.
Checking file integrety or reinstalling the game does not fix anything

Hey everyone! Today I got the issue where the initial game loading screen doesn't seem to ever end. After some troubleshooting I was able to get mine working so I wanted to share. Windrose Infinite Loading Screen Bug and Fix I stumbled upon this bug while experimenting with dedicated server management yesterday. To test the server, server settin...
You have to figure out which Folder is the culprit. I had 3 Folders in the "Players" Folder. I deleted the two oldest ones and kept my current folder. Started the game and it worked. Make sure you have a backup, before you delete.
is this the solution has it worked for any of you
@leaden kindle did you try the above
it worked for me
yeah although if you accidentally remove the wrong one, you can restore it from your trash bin
also remember to turn off steam cloud
otherwise it will automatically restore the file that's causing the bug
Stormkindle in general said he is having problems with it so I was trying to direct him here to help him out. As you know genereal gets so busy that the comments dissapear and his/hers ask for help is not being seen
What I ended up doing was clearing out the save data in my appdata folder @gleaming moss
I found a way to make it work again:
I disabled cloud saves
I went to C:\Users[user]\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles[steamid]_Backups, picked the last working savefile before the bug occured and, in C:\Users[user]\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles[steamid] replaced RocksDB by the afformentionned file and deleted RocksDB_v2_Backups
I launched the game, saw that it worked, and then reenabled cloud saves and using local save as the new one.
The only flaw is that I lost everything that happened after the backup save, which is around 2 hours.
Also, I think the reason why the glitch triggered in the first place was because I was DLing something in the background while playing and my C: drive reached saturation during the game, which probably made the game unable to update its current savefile.
