I have 156 hours in the game and I have completed all in game content with the exception of killing the 200 crocks and I am at 120ish on that. I have never had a issue thus far with the game loading - My system is a Alienware Area 51 Desktop with 285k processor and Nvidia GeForce 5090 Graphics Card. I do not use Steam Cloud Backup Save Options for any of my games and double checked for this one to be sure it was off as well, I have verified all files and even deleted a file folder and reverified the files and had those files downloaded and installed again. I have followed the instructions for using a back up save and I am still stuck on the loading screen at this point - I am not sure what is going on but the only way I have found to get around this issue is to delete my player profile and start a completely new game from the beginning which I don't really want to do but since it is a fun game I am not completely against it. However I would rather not lose the progress, the base I'd built, location and island it's built on. Suggestions would be helpful and a understanding of why it happened to prevent it from happening again please. Thanks

I do not use mods, they cause to many problems with games that are still in development.
I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and I am still stuck on the loading screen. The only thing I have done recently since the update was released was create a new character and start a new map. Gave the new character a different name and changed the world name from the default.
