cant progress after first boss

after killing the first boss, I have to talk to Doctor Galen at camp, he's nowhere to be found, there's no marker on the map when activating the quest to talk to him, reloaded the game several times with 0 luck

Is he in the inn in Tortuga?

I've found him next to the barman in the past. There's a quest that moves him.

at the bar? he wasn't there

Can you build a second base on a fresh character? We had him despawn in our world, but assumed it was part of the story. Just found him wondering around my mate's twig starter base.

when i open the map and click on the quest (which takes you to the quest location) it just hovers over my player icon

Yeah, he'll be wondering around your starter bonfire. Lurking on your seats. Sleeping in your bed.

ill try making a new character to see if that does anything

New character arc until he appears in base, switch character, should be able to talk to him 😄 But yes, possibly a bug.

Try destroying your bonfire and creating a new one

did that, will he spawn instatly or should i relog after doing so

go to your bonfire and spawn him
