Hey,
So I have recently tried uploading my local safe file to the GPortal Server but have so far been very unssuccesfull with that.
The support suggested I try despawning all the ships from the server, whihc I have done. i logged in with all the players (me + a friend) and we put our ships on "hold/Reserved", I also spawned the "boat" on another world, so that its despawned from the world i wanted to upload.
But I keep running into the same issue and Error again.
So now I turn to you fellow pirates, while I wait for another reply from GPortal 🙂 Maybe anyone here has had the same issue and fixed it, or has another hint as to what to do now 🙂
The picture is the Log the server displays. I am not all too Tech-savvy so sorry in advance 😄
#Uploading local Coop-File to GPortal

Which part is unsuccessful? The loading in? The playing part?
Ok at the risk of calling out other hosting providers, their response proves they didn't even look at your logs
@uncut flame Your log shows this exact error: Fatal error: Cannot init Coop NetServer.
Here is what is actually happening: You are trying to move a Local Co-op save to a Dedicated Server. Windrose saves local co-op worlds differently than dedicated servers. When the server boots, it reads your save file, sees it is formatted for local co-op, and the engine immediately crashes because a dedicated server cannot initialize a peer-to-peer 'Co-op' network. Deleting ships will never fix a World ID mismatch!
Since you are waiting on a reply from them, copy and paste this exact message to your GPortal support ticket so they know exactly what to fix:"
Message to GPortal Support:
Hello,
I reviewed my server crash logs, and the issue is not related to in-game ships. The server is throwing a Fatal Error at UR5DataKeeperForServerCoop::InitializeBLServer Cannot init Coop NetServer immediately after loading my Island ID (A2398A5930F948EE8C97EC033F935F37).
The server is crashing because it is trying to read an uploaded Local Co-op save, and it does not know how to translate the Co-op network data into a Dedicated Server session.
Please escalate this to someone who knows how to properly migrate a Windrose Local Co-op RocksDB save to a Dedicated Server environment so the engine stops trying to initialize the Co-op NetServer. Thank you!
please don't even try to defend them on this. That is pure laziness not even reading the logs
What are you even on?
Previous ticket, trying to call me out for poaching and "no problems with service"
For a provider to not even read the logs and to stab blindly at despawning ships is my exact point being made "that if people are paying you for a service, that service should work properly, should be fit for purpose and if it isn't then the support needs to be on it like a hot rash"
Honestly, this really depends on what level the support team has been assigned. Which to me this person has been given quite a low support rep which is unfortunate.
Yeah figured. Since I have been able to run the same file in another setup, with a serverthingamabob from git hub. So yeah the problem is with gportal.
I think, they realized that too, but didn't tell me. Since the latest response was "Yeah we are gonna update our services, that may fix some problems"
I will try again tomorrow and then forward your message. Thanks for your time, I allready had a hunch it's a problem with how the file is saved as a coop game. I am not that well versed, so thanks everyone for their input
Did you have any luck getting this sorted?
Not yet. Havent got any more messages after "We gon update this, pls wait", and didnt get around to try it before today. And it seems they didnt update it yet
