hi Folks, unfortunatly i cant get any unlock at the discoverypage after beating Thomas richards.
the issue is active on a dedicated server i play on and also on solo play.
any idea how to continue?
cause right now, i cant even smelt iron ore.

since defeating TR i picked up soil and also iron ore. both getting not registered.

BUG REPORTING GUIDE

Please share your game logs, game saves, crash dumps, and DxDiag. These are essential for diagnosing and fixing bugs.

HOW TO FIND LOGS

Game logs are located here:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\Logs

Server logs are located here:
R5\Builds\WindowsServer\R5\Saved\Logs

To get there, open Steam, find Windrose in your library, right-click it, then go to Manage → Browse local files. From there, archive the files in the Logs folder and share them with us.

Please name your logs in a way that describes the problem, for example: Crashedwhile_fighting_Dodo.log

HOW TO FIND SAVES

Your saves are located here:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles
Please close the game before archiving your saves!

If you are playing on a dedicated server:
• Stop both the client and the dedicated server.
• Find and archive your server logs and world save.

Dedicated server logs are located here:
R5\Saved\Logs

Dedicated server saves are located here:
R5\Saved\SaveProfiles

To get there, open Steam, find Windrose Dedicated Server in your library, right-click it, then go to Manage → Browse local files (or go to the folder where your Windrose Dedicated Server is stored).

Please close the dedicated server before archiving your saves.

If crashes are involved, please share crash dumps:

Game client dumps (if play offline)

Server dumps (if you self-host from game client)

HOW TO FIND DXDIAG

Please also include your DxDiag report. This is your PC specifications in .txt format:

• Press Win + R.
• Type dxdiag and press Enter.
• When the tool opens, click Save All Information.
• Save the .txt file and attach it to your report.

there should be plenty of backup logs in the log folder.... if you can rememebr the date and time you killed Richards and picked up your first iron ore piece, taht would be amazing

Im hitting the same problem. I play on a dedicated server and can get the logs if that helps. I can currently get iron ore in my inventory as well. Do you just need server logs?

For topic starter it seems to be a mod issue

as for my side, as far as i know there are no mods active on the server. but as it is not my server i cant tell to 100%.

would there be any solution for this issue? cause tbh, i dont want to create a new char cause of a trigger not activating.

Server may be modded, not neccessarily client

Or mods could've broken your inventory in the past and savefile is still bugged even if mods are removed

make sure it isnt the bottomless developer one, i got that from a mod and noticed a huge issue with game saves and also just in general picking up items

be wary of any save editors as that can also cause long loading time/infinite loading times and progress issues

I do not have any modded gear that i am aware of and some of the progress has unlocked after i Killed Richard. Are the major items in a different progress area. Ie could cane sugar unlock but not iron?

no im saying on the discovery page where Iron should appear its not so would suggest char is borked in some way. However i have sailed to the foothill and found cane sugar and that unlocked without a problem.
