I use a spare computer in my house as a dedicated Windrose Server. Although there are a lot of hiccups for me, my wife, and my brother, we can generally get into the server after a restart or two. However, my father wants to join us but has been unable to connect despite repeated attempts over the past week. We can join his client-hosted game, and he can join our client-hosted games, but he can't access the dedicated server. We have tried the IPv4 preferred fix, the DNS fix, reinstalling, restarting, etc. All to no avail.
While troubleshooting, we had him create a fresh character, thinking there was something wrong with his original, and that the new one couldn't connect either. So then I changed out the config on the dedicated server to start a fresh world, and he was able to connect with both characters with no issue. I swapped back to the old config and started our original world, and once again, he cannot join, but the 3 of us can. I'm wondering if something went wrong when he first tried to connect, which led to some stored information about his account being corrupted. I haven't been able to find a way to wipe out account information on a saved world, so if we want to play with him, it seems we are stuck with starting a new world.
I can see his connection attempts, but it eventually leads to a "Unexpected BL disconnect" with a bunch of Callstack warnings about unknown functions, and then dropping his connection attempt.
