stepped away for dinner and closed the game just came back and the game wont load in ive tried solo and multiplayer it goes through the loading screen for about 45 seconds i hear the waves and other audio start up like its about to open my game and it just crashes completely. no error message or anything just closes the game...

Hi there, thanks for the report.
Have you tried to stop steam cloud function? We have some issue with it, and are now working to fix the problem (if eveerything goes well, the fix will be updated this week).

Absolutely gutted atm my save file is corrupted and carnt get passed the first loading screen. 177hrs gone. Ive tried everything recommended to solve issue but no luck tried to recover my account for the last 7hrs. Deleted and reinstalled 5 times last thing is to remove firewall from modem. Any help will be great

I'm also having the same issue, i was gonna try your solution, but you ask us to delete the SaveProfiles folder in step 1, but this folder also contains the backup it says, so i don't dare to touch it ^^

Game is having an utterly terrible time loading since yesterday. Out of the 4 times I've crashed 3 of them have been attempting to load into the game, and I've also noticed my game being particularly slow when I open a chest. This hasn't been happening previously. The 2 times I crashed today were past verifying files, lowering my frame rate, and updating my drivers.

I leave a bump here, as I have the same issue. I hear the waves and seagulls, but I am stuck at the loadingscreen at multiplayer sessions. Solo works fine. I tried already everything I found online for troubleshooting, but nothing works. I get warnings in the windows eventviewer for to less ram, but I have 17/32GB unused ram

was playing completely fine not until the loading screen starting taking forever "literally" couldn't join nothing at all i've waited over 50 minutes, nothing happened not from the internet my internet is great, tried unistalling then reinstall didnt work, tried verifying files, didnt work, tried deleting save game didnt work, nothing worked at all till now

I dont know if it was this, but I updated my driver and verified the game files, but I also double checked the firewall settings, and there were 2 windrose entries and only one was allowed to pass it in private network. I activated the second one and now it works. Thanks a lot

Same problem for me. Ever since the Tuesday update, im not able to load the game anymore. It freezes on the loading screen. Sometimes i hear the waves, but thats it.
Im not tech savvy at all, but wanted to drop this message to add to the others.
I did manage to check if drivers where updated, and they are.

Just want to add I have same thing. I followed the guide, deleting saves ect and I can make a new pirate, but when I turn sync back on backto loading screen forever.

Ive tried all my backups and none work. My game still freezes and then I have to use ctrl alt delete - log out or a hard reset of my pc

for me it started 20 minutes ago. Funny thing I logged in to my friend dedicated server with my character (LVL9) and i got the option to assign 17 stat points and 3 talent points additionally . After I reload to my local solo save it stucks on loading screen (heard chest opened and then waves,seagulls sounds). Steam cloud disabled. Please fix it 🏴‍☠️ 🫡

Dedicated server are F:ed after the update, getting kicked out for no reason, and when I try to reconnect it wont let me in

I'm not being toxic here but, anyone else absoutley sick to death of this happening? Early access games should be BANNED from being released. I understand that the devs are doing their best etc but its just... not good enough. I cannot play the game anymore and will likely in about 15 mins uninstall and probably never play it again. Releasing games in early access is the worst thing thats ever happened to the gaming industry. Players become the QA's and have to endure frustrating bugs and glitches until sometime in the distant future it gets fixed.

I am so done. I love this game aswell, its so good, but i've had enough. I am never buying an early access game again and being some guinee pig for a game.

Just tried the final thing to make it work and get past the loading screen and it didnt work. Game uninstalled, will probably never play it again. Such a damn shame, really is. GL to all trying to fix it

yah i deleted both worl and player even roll back grafic drivers and even tried game ready driver to studio one still nothing i even virified files on steam

Mods can stick around even when you think you got them out. Steam Cloud is a big source of problems right now. Devs words.

Best loading screen simulator ever 🙁 I play a ton of games in early access, but I have never experianced such troble loading into a game (no mods). It was fine last night (after update), 9 h's later nothing but an infinite loading screen. Tried all the fixes I could think of and still no go. This is a great way to kill a game.

mine is now crashing to a frozen screen when ever i fast travel. and its not my PC... its a monster of a machine its getting stupid now

I can only get solo games to load all the way in right now. So, I know that neither the world or character is corrupted. Its the network services.
FWIW - I have Steam cloud saves disabled; I turned it off over a week ago
