So, I have a weird issue with the Needle in a Haystack quest. I got all 3 of the Blackbeard Outpost keys, but it did not move my quest to the next step. I went and killed Israel Hands twice, but when I speak to the NPC in manacles/chains, it doesn't give me an option to release him. It seems like the progression of the quest got messed up.

Any help with this, please?

So for me there wasnt just chests to loot but also places to examine and dead bodies. Make sure your examining them and you can progress

@amber void do you have the specific location to check? i have the same bug and have searched every camp and cant find anything like what youre mentioning

there shuld be 4 keys not three.

I wonder why your quest markers are not shoing up, usually it happens only when you used any mods or played on a server with mods enabled, or anyhow interacted with a moded enviroment

I'm using a vanilla Nitrado server where my friend was able to complete the same quest a few hours after i got stuck

I even followed him around to see if he did anything different

Is there any way to bypass the progression or I'm just SOL if I don't want to start a new character?

It will be where you did the first mission for needle in the haystack at the top on that hill encampment there will be a person on the ground to your right 🙂
