hello! please check the guide, you should have bacup checkpoints for your character, if you launched the game multiple times after yur save got corrupted there would be corrupted backups (as they currently create on game launch) but you should be able to find a clean backup as well

Again I followed the guide that said to delete the saved profiles I did and there's no back up

if you have deleted your saveprofile folder it should still be in your recycle bin and you should be able to find your backups.

i'm sroyy you need to go through the struggle, we are workin on making sure that save corrutions do not havven and even if they do there would be an ingame save manager that will help to resolve this

if yo ucan load into an offline world - that means that you are most likely encountering a connectivity issue, not a saves issue.
yo ucan try enabling Force Relay Connection option and see if it helps

i had a few mods and i accidently removed the pakchunk3-steam file. check your recycle bin

Changing your Nitrado server to connect via direct IP seems to fix the forever loading screen issue

As you can see in the image, this character contains many files. Those with fewer files can be deleted. By accessing these files, our problem was solved directly.

Remember to disable Steam Cloud before performing these steps and back up your files.

Keep it closed, otherwise you will encounter the same problem again. The game saves its files to its own folders; close the game and back up your data again.

Can confirm this worked!! I have two pirates that I did a decent bit with, 2 that were brand new. Just deleted the ones with the least amount of files and it worked @stuck vault

More simply, turn off the cloud in the mod showcase section. There's a WSE Project - Save Fixer available; download it, add the player list, and fix it. That might also fix the problem.

That's what I'd like to know, although I think his loading screen was there before entering the character selector, so I would assume it would be a different solution than the infinite loading screen when you try to join someone.

you can do this method or use a save repair toolkit on Nexusmods

same thing happened to me but I managed to fix it.
first thing I did was to disable steam cloud saves for Windrose
Then I went to the save folder location of the game (it is called Save Profile). Copied it to desktop, then I deleted the save folder (not the one I copied) and launched Windrose.

The game should make a new character, I just hit next until I hit the main menu and exited the game.
After that I went to the newly created save folder, and looked for a folder with numbers on it (there should be two, ignore the one named back ups)
Inside of the folder with numbers, there should be a folder named RocksDB delete the contents inside. [This part is important]

After deleting it i went back to the backed up folder on your desktop. now head into the folder with numbers_back up. there should be lots of folders with numbers on it. those are the back ups that the game made. make the folder from earliest to latest. now choose one of the folders and copy the contents inside and paste it on to the RocksDB folder from earlier. Personally for me the first 2-3 back up folders failed on me.

Download and extract the release package, then run WindroseSaveRepairTool.exe

Click "Scan Saves" to inspect the save list

Then click "Repair Selected" or "Repair All Suspicious"

I’ve done everything I have read in all the support chats about joining my friends server, I can load into my own but it’s like multiplayer is blocked for me!

if you can't load into the server its probably either your ISP blocking the ports or the server has issues

perhaps you can message the server ower if they can restart their server

if that doesn't work try using a different DNS. I personally use cloudfare but I play solo

to run cmd just do windows+r then hit enter and a black window should pop up and then just type in ipconfig /flushdns

or you can test using your phone's hotspot

if it works then its likely that your ISP has blocked the port

if that's the case you have to access your router/modem
